my bicycle-by mayhem

some specs...

56c-c with a 56 c toptube

chainstays are 17" to the center of forkends

front center 23.5 "

headtube angle 74

seattube angle 73.5

the frame is constructed from columbus el-os tubing using
pacenti design lugs. the fork crown is standard from long-shen as the pacenti crown, tho beautiful, does not offer the width i wanted.

notice those are paragon machine works track forkends that sport a deraillier hanger on drive side and a bottle opener on the non-drive side. sweet. lots of options here.

drive train: chainwheels-48/36t

freewheel-7 speed 13-28

shifters: old stock shimano 6 speed thumbies set to friction. my personal fav shifter regardless of speeds etc. still found on ebay and numerous bicycle shops new or used. they never stop working unless you crash 'em really bad.

tires: WTB Slickasaurus 37c-best all-round city tire made today(imho)

racks: those are the small front and rear Nitto racks

saddlebag: that's the most excellent Baggins Bag "Little Joe" offered by
Rivendell Bicycle Works. a thing of beauty AND function. I love quality saddlebags and there's none better available ANYWHERE.
handlebar: unfortunately those are old stock british-type touring bars. the sort rarely imported to america tho still being made by numerous companies for european and asian sales. they're narrower than some folks like-21 inches.

stem: salsa tig-welded steel. still being made by waterford. unfortunately waterford or salsa chooses to make them with really short quills. so if ya need some height to your existing frame, these are not for you. and as the trend leans more and more to threadless. this beautifully made stem may very well become extinct....

Acme will continue to offer as standard 1" threaded steerers, headsets and stems, as long as they are being produced.

who's afraid of cantilevers? still one of the best stoppers out there. and still available in limited selection. Acme will always carry canti brakes, as long as we can get 'em.

our headbadges are hand-made one at a time. cut from flat stainless steel stock with a plasma cutter. then polished to a mirror finish and either brazed or bolted to your frame. you choose. each one is unique.
